Geoparks are the best places that we can see the climate change impacts on nature and with geoeducation, we can raise public awareness and educate young people.
We would like to represent important roles of geoparks in observation of climate change effects by educational programs in geoparks. At the end, the project will provide the appropriate opportunity for thousands of people and youth workers to get familiar with environmental (the concepts in nature) and geological sciences. In this project, some of the educational and research activities about climate change will be introduced in
They will get familiar with climate change records. With GeoEducation For Combatting Climate Change (GEOCOACH) project.
We aim to
1-Raise consciousness of participants for the conservation and sustainability of geoparks
2-Pursue the effects of climate change in Geoparks and all the creations and the importance it adds to that region for youth
3-Teach youth by observing many geological and aesthetic areas, lava caves, beautiful waterfalls, hot springs,wetlands, rock formations and ravines in Geopark areas.
4-Contribute to non-formal geographic education by sharing scientific, historical and cultural knowledge, skills and values with youth workers and geopark staff.
5-To raise awareness among young people about the impact of climate change on nature
6-Encourage new training programs on green skills, energy and resources, environment and climate change
7-Prepare a Climate change report that we will observe effects of climate change at differerent European Geoparks
